Biography

Ken Myers has worked as a civil litigator for over 20 years, in both Nevada and California.

Mr. Myers grew up in the San Fernando Valley and Simi Valley. After graduating as high school valedictorian in 1987, Mr. Myers attended the University of Redlands on a full academic scholarship, where he graduated in 1991 with Bachelor's degree in both Philosophy and Psychology. Mr. Myers then worked as an escrow officer for three years, saving up money for law school.

From 1994 to 1997, Mr. Myers attended the University of California, Davis, School of Law, where he graduated Order of the Coif (top 10% of the class), the highest academic achievement possible. During law school, Mr. Myers worked as an intern at California's Department of Fair Employment and Housing, where his duties included preparing a detailed summary of state and federal age discrimination laws for use by the staff attorneys. He also worked as a judicial extern for the Honorable Garland E. Burrell, Jr., a federal judge in Sacramento who at that time was presiding over the Unabomber case.

After law school, Mr. Myers accepted a position in Las Vegas at Lionel, Sawyer & Collins, which was the largest law firm in Nevada. He worked for over six years in that firm's litigation department handling a variety of cases including employment disputes, contract disputes and property disputes. His clients included Fortune 500 companies, celebrities, professional athletes, and major casinos. In 2003, Mr. Myers left that firm and opened his own practice in Las Vegas; however, he soon decided to move back to Los Angeles, and has subsequently worked as a litigator at law firms in Sherman Oaks, Oxnard and Woodland Hills.

Since 2015, Mr. Myers has worked Jay Rothman & Associates and has limited his practice exclusively to employment law.

Mr. Myers resides in West Hills with his wife and two children. In his spare time, he enjoys spending time with his family, cooking, playing guitar and building computers.
